What about supplements? Do you use them?

Fish Oil Capsules

I certainly take a few. The core one I have been taking for years is fish oil capsules. There have been a few times when the media said give up on these because they “rust” and are not effective if not processed in a very stringent manner etc.
I buy a good brand and have stuck to them and they seem to help my knees.
The other two I always take is B12 and Magnesium.

B12 Pills

B12 I take to avoid nerve pain. Some years ago I was working in Quirndi and got so bad nerve in my right ankle I could hardly walk and certainly couldn’t work.

I went to the local pharmacy and he sold me some heavy duty pain killers, nothing like masking the problem! In my own research I found out that there might be a link between nerve pain and B12, so I went and bought some and low and behold after two days it was gone! Every time I don’t take my B12, for whatever reason for a few days nerve pains start to develop.

Magnesium

I assume that most athletes take magnesium because of all the sweating during training. Here we lose so many salts that cramps often follow and magnesium, I find , really helps.

Vitamin C

Not something I take all the time but certainly when I’v had a few drinks the night before or I’m feeling a bit poorly or I have or can feel a cold coming on.

Well there you have it, my drugs of choice!
