Racing and Goal Achievement

Athletes, like yourself are highly motivated by setting and achieving goals, whether it’s personal bests, winning competitions, or reaching milestones in their fitness journey. One thing I have noticed recently is that personal bests (PBs) are now mostly called personal records (PRs), I’m not quite sure when this change took place or if it just snuck up on me.

Of course competition is about being amongst it on race day, but to really see how you’re going you will want to track all results, like by like, and than be able to analyse them using visual tools like charts.

A big part of competing are Time Trials where you can get some baselines set for different distances but also emulate race day in a more realistic way.

I will have a lot more to add here soon because I’m currently reading Joe Friel’s book Fast after 50″.

A great help here can also be to discuss these issues with other Silver Wolves that hang out on the Activity Feed.

Also look out for our Events Calendar that will be launching soon! Here you will not only be able to find races but also list any you know about and add yourself to any events you’re planning to compete it and see who else is going.
