The inaugural half marathon was about 11 or 12 years ago and I participated only because it was promoted as Steve Moneghetti would be racing! So I thought I’ll participate so I can claim that I raced Steve Moneghetti, of course I knew that I would only see him at the start.
This turned out to be very true because Steve finished in 1:15. And last time I raced Coffs, about 10 years later Steve was there as well and he ran close to 1:15 again, unbelievable!
So this year I’ve booked in again and I’m looking forward to racing a pretty flat track and great atmosphere.
