The Dungog Recreation Reserve Mountain Bike Trails are managed by Ride Dungog.

The Dungog Reserve is 650 acres of pristine land on the western edge of Dungog and can be accessed via several entrances but best access is via the Pump Track entrance for MTB riders. The Reserve has over 22km of single track. On weekends there is also a shuttle to take you to the head of the flow tracks.

The Reserve also has a purpose-built fun track and 3 dedicated flow tracks, one of them is a dual slalom race track and recently a world class pump track has been added to the mix.

The Dungog Common is managed by The Dungog Common Land Managers, for more details see their website.

I, Wolf Skafte-Zauss, am proud to be one of the inaugural board members of the Dungog Common Recreation Reserve than called The Dungog Common Recreation and Reserve Trust. I served on the board for five years and as a trust we managed to put all the basics in place, which were required for the Dungog Common to grow to what it is today. And nowadays I go for a XC ride every Friday with a mate or two as well a long run on Sunday mornings during the triathlon off-season.

If you want to have a great day mountain bike riding, be that down hilling or XC riding then the Dungog Common is a must visit! Riding the flow tracks, even on your first visit is very straight forward, however finding your way around the XC tracks is a little more challenging so if you would like to ride with us on a Friday morning then use our Give Us a Howl form to reach out.
